The Korea Intellectual Property Association (KINPA) is a non-governmental cooperative body founded in 2008. Its goal is to improve its members’ IP competitiveness through collaborative activities with the members’ expertise and experience. contribute quick responses to global IP issues;
provide policy proposals and suggestions to the government, especially the Korean IP Office;
co-research on the topics of IP management, IP disputes and patent information analysis;
focus on the mid to long-term solution for IP issues such as training IP human resources where common concerns lie; and
reinforce the IP management of individual member companies through the sharing of information between members.
Any Korean company, regardless of size, that is willing to share its experiences in intellectual property and participate in KINPA activities in a positive manner is eligible for membership. KINPA has 139 member companies.
