About IPBC Southeast Asia

IPBC Southeast Asia will be held at the Grand Hyatt, Singapore, on 21 February 2019.

Structured as a single, market-leading, one-day event, with a central registration, exhibition and networking area, the sessions will be split into two dedicated streams: IPBC Southeast Asia – IAM’s focused IP value creation agenda – and Brand Strategy Southeast Asia – World Trademark Review’s detailed brand management programme. The IPBC and Brand Strategy sessions will run concurrently, with delegates able to switch between streams to match their interests.

IPBC Southeast Asia is specifically designed for senior IP executives at the region’s leading corporates, research institutions and governmental agencies, plus emerging companies from across the industry spectrum.

Delegate profile
The two previous editions of IPBC Southeast Asia have been incredibly successful, with well over 200 delegates attending in 2017 and 2018. As an exclusive invitation-based event the audience consistently comprises over 75% leading domestic companies, international corporations, research institutions and government bodies. The 2019 event will build upon this unique industry-focused gathering.

Delegate quotas
To guarantee a variety of outlooks and experiences, we employ strict sector quotas for intermediaries, private practice lawyers/attorneys and service provider representatives. Once we hit a quota limit, we are unable to offer a place at IPBC Southeast Asia to those from the relevant sector seeking to register for the event. This ensures that the event remains focused on our key attendees – senior executives at IP-owning companies and research institutions.

About the events
People attend IAM and World Trademark Review events because they are unique in four important ways:

  • They focus on providing practical actionable takeaways for senior corporate IP professionals tasked with protecting the integrity and extracting maximum business value from their IP assets.
  • IAM and World Trademark Review are exceptionally placed to assemble an outstanding set of speakers and delegates – from both domestic and international markets – who bring experience, knowledge and insight to the issues that truly matter to senior IP decision makers.
  • Limited delegate numbers, strictly enforced occupation quotas and carefully designed sessions mean that the events uniquely combine world-class IP business expertise with outstanding networking opportunities in an intimate and informal atmosphere.
  • The event format works because it brings together the most senior representatives from across the IP industry not just to discuss IP business, but also to network and to do deals.

About IAM
IAM is universally acknowledged as the world’s leading IP business information provider. It was launched in July 2003 to address the ways in which businesses and other entities can maximise the value of their IP and other intangibles, and to examine the strategies that they can employ to do this. IAM is unique because it treats IP as a business asset and tool, rather than simply as a legal right. With this unequalled appeal to the boardroom, IAM has firmly established itself as the only IP publication that many senior corporate executives read regularly.
